What are some of the challenges as an African-American woman in the industry?
We came all the way down here to Texas to reach out and help the community. I just want to give you the solution to your problem. As a woman, it’s all about your work ethic, being a professional and being patient. I believe that’s what it’s about.
Get in where you fit in.

What’s a piece of advice for someone wanting to enter the industry?
It’s about the transferable skills. Get into the industry where you fit. Whatever your skill-set is. If you want it from human resources or if you cook, get in where you fit in. And then, if you want to change your mind once you get into the lane, feel free to do so. But use what you have.
Tayelor is stoically setting professional standards in the hemp market showing others that there’s no need for women to feel intimidated about entering the industry.
